Adam chastised me for giving him hope, saying I was leading him on and just feeding him sh-t. I wonder if the guy ever got his money back. Never give up goes a long way in life Adam. You may be an example, but not the only one, so don't brag to me and say you are the only success story in life based on those words. And as zeke said, why is this on mpf?

That's because there is no hope when you get ripped off from another country. That's why they run ads to rip off guys like that. If I answer one of those ads and say I can pick up the car, they go silent. If someone from France wants the car they are all ears. Because the scammers no that no law enforcement agency in the US or France is going to lift a finger to prosecute anyone. Nor will your bank help, you willingly sent money, there is no crime on the banks end of things. The only thing that guy could have done is hire a Private Detective, track down the scammer based on his bank account or whatever info he had, and fly over here and try to personally get his money back. But the scammers know that people don't do that, not over $25000.
So again, there was no hope in that situation, the guy got scammed, there was no car, and he will never see that money again. But if we post on forums that this is the case then maybe it will keep someone else from getting scammed.
