This Bachtold Bros. brush mower is only a score in the sense that I have been looking for one for almost 2 years. I was actually hoping to find and old Roof ankle chopper, but never found one that was restorable. This Bachtold Bros. is the top of the line, 8 hp with electric start. It's a late production model, it even has a DR brand sticker on it. (DR took over Bachtold Bros. after a lawsuit and recall bankrupted them).
I had to pay $400 for it, but the owner was a fanatic and it's in excellent shape. He had a ton of paperwork for it (excpet the original bill of sale
). He made a chain oiler (that red thing hanging from the handlebar), always filtered the gas before he filled the tank, and for some reason always took the spark plug wire off when he shut it down.
