Bill - quick followup to clarify. These are gear driven heads. And as such, the gears are subject to damage if the adjustment process isn't handled properly and carefully.
If you are not certain about what you are doing - please do not proceed.
As I said before....contact your contractor and ask if he can come back by and help you understand how your system is set up design wise and also any adjustment instruction. It's not all that hard but better when someone shows it to you in person.
