There are 72 spokes/fins in the middle piece which is diecast metal and heavy, (the covers are 6.6 pounds). I took a rotary tool with a little polishing head and polished in between each spoke/fin. The insides of the spoke/fins are painted black so I was careful to just polish off any built up dirt residue revealing the black paint. It was indeed a labor of love. Lol.
