you have to fully compress them (off the car or undue one end) and twist...........
if you go to the Koni website (google it), they have directions there.........
as to rebuilding Koni shocks, it is not cheap, I had a set and ended up buying new Koni Yellows (adjustable with the turn of knob) for a few dollars more than it would have cost for the rebuilt Koni reds (including shipping)
