Location: Placerville, CA.... You know, the only place on Highway 50 between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe the you find signal lights. Above the fog most of the time and I can see the stars of the Milky Way 8 out of 10 nights. Kinda cool.....

Yes & thanks, Leaky - good to check out. I did some snooping and read through some Silverado forum threads as well as watched some YT vids and I may try to do a fluid change first to see if it changes anything. There are some additives and also different fluids to consider.

The PSP in GM trucks is the achilles heel and they are all garbage. Lost count how many I have replaced on the green machine. I’ve looked to other options but haven’t found one I’ve liked. Any get new and all are referbed, including ones from our local GMC dealer. Remanufactured if the term they use.

In my last swap, I tried something new, a PS fluid filter. It does require you to cut your line and install it with hose clamps. Just another option you could try. From my notes in 2017
