The GF wants a table she can use over her firepit...obv when it not in use
So I got a nice slab of Elm.. it has a lot of character.. this is roughly 3in thick...
Initial cut and trying to figure out how I want the pieces to be ..
I brought the pieces back to the shop, and had them flattened and trued to a much more manageable 2-1/8 in... a 3 in slab of Elm that large is heavy
Excavating some rot and punky wood.. also filling in cracks and check with a black epoxy mix
