I met my wife at the NAS Pax River O'Club in late 1988. She was a flight test engineer and I was perhaps a bit full of myself.
There was an immediate connection but rather than give me her real name, since, you know, she told me her name was “Vivian Sinclair" (hint: It's not
). Who could blame her.
We did get on track and my roommates parents were down from Ridgefield, CT, which, if you don't know, is where money is from.
Introductions made; Rebecca, my wife arrives about 10 minutes later and I introduce her as "Vivian Sinclair" and walk out of the house to attend to the BBQ.

Rick the roommate was brilliant, BTW, he went on Win Ben Stein's Money and won. He and Ben remained friends for years. Rick's Dad and I played a lot of golf at the Ridgefield CC (amazing) when I was stationed at the Sikorsky Factory in Bridgeport.
