On Labor Day, four of us left Siesta Key for a day of biking. We rented 9 speed 'fat tire' bikes from Real Bikes in Venice and headed north for Sarasota.
At McIntosh Rd in Sarasota we turned around and went south to Venice....crossed the Circus Bridge and stopped for beers at Sharky's at Caspersen Beach.
Before returning our bikes, we took a 'corridor/path' towards North Port to explore the area where they found Brian Laundrie. It turned into a dirt pathway and was too much for our bikes...so we gave it up and went back to return the bikes.
All said, we had a great fun five hours and about 50 miles.

Saw lots of wildlife and the fat tire bikes were perfect for the trail. (they pedal super easy)
