1977 Porsche 911S
Update 9/10/23:
Spent almost all day Saturday working on the car. Have to say Wayne's book has been very helpful so far. I adjusted the valves and had to improvise with a feeler gauge because nobody had the special tool in stock. Also changed oil, spark plugs, cap & rotor, set timing, and started syncing the carbs. Was happy to find no broken head studs. Now the car runs like a sewing machine at idle. Just off idle it stumbles like maybe the accelerator pumps need adjusted or the diaphragms replaced but decided to leave that for another day. I also replaced the whale tail decklid with a regular 911S decklid. Took it for a quick rip through the neighborhood. A handful of 12 year old boys saw me and started yelling "it's a Porsche" and chasing me down the street recording with their phones. All around a great weekend and good vibes driving it.
