The one thing I discovered about humping in the steep high country is not just walking or having strong legs, its all lungs. Its like riding a miss and out event on the track. No need for pure sprinting but lots of get up and go until your lungs explodes. |
This shoe is MUCH more like the one I use, and though I care very much about weight, I wouldn't wear less shoe than this. Personally. Today's hiking boots are also remarkably light.
