Yup, that's certainly a solution. I understand there are kits that allow us to do this at home. I think they need to be baked in an oven. The M70 in question is in the middle, wearing a Boyd's laminated stock. I used that stock for exactly one hunt and just couldn't stand it. It's prettier than the glass stock, but twice as heavy, and just very poorly proportioned. It feels like I'm holding a baseball bat by the wrong end. The other two rifles are a #1 Tropical and a M98 Mauser:
