I have driven to Arkansas and had to use the windshield wipers from the moment I leave the garage to the point I shut the car off in Arkansas.
I have autocrossed in rain so hard that it was hard to see the next cone, and aquaplaning was an issue. That was in the 914 with vinyl seats. Also I was much younger! I will not do that in my 911 with leather seats. And back in the days of our 914 we had timing equipment that used a rubber hose like at the old service stations, and a wire running to the timer. Now it is all wireless and just "rain resistant", and very expensive to replace if it gets wet.
