Thank you for the input! As I was fiddling with it, I noticed the lid is rubbing on the body in the middle when opening. Maybe something has shifted. The hinges are from Rennline and are adjustable.

It is strange though…the gap when the lid is closed, seems sufficient to allow the lid to open…not sure why it would rub. Could a minor shift in the hinge positioning cause the closure problem?
