Knocking on wood, my engine latch operation has been flawless, until today. A light touch on the lid would always result in the lid latching the first time.
Today it refused to latch.
A visual observation of the strike to latch when almost closed showed perfect alignment.
Being American, I grabbed my WD-40 and sprayed the latch.
Now all is good again.
