I was going thru some photos and came across my 1987 Alpineer when I first got it. It's been TEN years! Doesn't seem possible. There's some discussion way back in this thread and that was very helpful in determining exactly what I had. I rode the bike fairly regularly the first couple of years, but it's become a wall hanger (wall art?). But for the 10th anniversary, I got it down today, detailed it, tuned it and took it out for a ride. What a fantastic bike. 7-speed downtube shifter corncob freewheel hollow pin chain awesomeness. That early 7400 Dura Ace derailleur with SIS shifters is crisp and flawless.
