Showdown, you make a good case for leaving the clutch alone and selling it as-is. For a true enthusiast, that's a great point. I can see both sides, as does this group which slightly leans toward fixing it. As I talk with potential buyers and what the higher bidders want, I'll make my decision on that. I'm not jumping the gun.

SkiVT, thanks for the pricing input. FYI that my car already passed CA smog three weeks ago, so at least it's good for 2 years now. The challenge really was finding a Smog Cert Station that had the equipment to test older cars, they're becoming a rarer thing out here in San Diego.

Hi_Fi_Guy, love your mantra. In this case, I do think MMMV.

Jjm4life, thanks for relaying your experience. I think it's going to play out that way as well.

NOTE -- I'm trying to get a some photos done before I head out on vacation for 2 weeks, but my list of travel To-Do's is long and time is getting tight. The car is in my packed garage with really bad lighting, and with no clutch it's an iffy thing to roll it outside onto my sloped driveway so I can get proper pics. We'll see... fingers crossed!
