Is it a floater or a dark spot that is stationary? I was watching TV one day and all of the sudden my vision got blurry and a dark spot appeared in the lower field of vision of my left eye. I called my doctor and he said come in immediately. Turned out to be a retinal occlusion which is a blockage of the artery supplying blood to the eye. Doctor says caused by high blood pressure or diabetes of which I have neither so he could not explain it. Luckily it turned out to be in the vein and not the artery. The doctor sent me to a specialist who said we should wait it out instead of treating it which would require shots in the eye. Luckily it cleared up for the most part after about 6 months. Either way go to the doctor ASAP eye sight is not something you want to play with. Hope it all works out well for you
