The happiest, most fulfilled person I ever met was a dental assistant of mine who lived in a 900 square foot house with her husband and two daughters.
The family wasn’t well off by any means but made the most of what they did have. They didn’t take (or afford) fancy exotic vacations but participated in many school events, BBQs, camping trips etc they could fit into their schedules. She always had a smile and a great story.
She taught me to stop and smell the roses.
I am blessed to have a great life. Recently we spent two weeks in Hawaii, which was fun, but frankly I’m getting more enjoyment making a 22’ x 5’ x 6’ shed behind the garage with my son.
