Just got the ‘78 SC back from the shop with some upgrades: 24mm / 25mm Eibach adj swaybars, Turbo tie rods, Wevo engine & trans mounts, and the Numeric Racing shifter & linkage.
Car feels perfect right now. All of the sloppiness is gone from the shifter: it’s still a 915 with a notchy 2nd gear, but it’s just so much more precise. And with the sway bars, new tie rods & Conti ECS02’s: I’m super happy with it in the corners. The confidence gap between it and my 993 in the twisties is effectively gone, with the bonus of the SC being about 500 lbs lighter.
North Hollywood Speedometer also just sent my fixed odo/speedo back (turnaround time was < 2 days!) — good start to the fall!
Next up: take off the door cards to install new speakers & fix my driver’s side window, but in no hurry there.
