Heaven!!!
Extra points for watching the dustcaps flying off those early look pedals in the off camber left hand turns.
Not sure how many times I went around the state capitol in Madison wi.
0.6 mile criterium course. Did that a few times every year. And then there was Superweek. (Before the tour of America’s Dairyland).
Life was easier then. And in much better shape.

Oh yeah, GEL up front is asking for it with two cross wheel. It needed constant truing but I only used them on race days. I had a set of GL 330 laced up to a brand new set of Super Record hubs (I think they are the exactly the same as Nuovo record). I decided to have a shop take off the hubs and rreplace with DA so I can use their casette. In the end, they were too busy and too slow and it ended up lost. I never found them. It was brand new from about 1989. It would have been a perfect match to my Casati. Yep, 14-19 Suntour Ultra 6 speed with a 42x52 crank. I rode Regina CX freewheel for a few years and they are durable then the Regina America came out, it lasted one season. Even had the alum few wheels, lasted also one season. Those Ultra 6 or 7s are damn good and durable too. Never broke one even after they were abused for several years.
