Don't tell Kelly. One of the guys at work found the engine I've been looking for last night. It's only 2 hours away and super cheap. May be taking a field trip today or tomorrow. (It'll still need rebuilt and I still haven't titled the 914 or even begun the project...but it'd be good to have the powerplant acquired and finalized.)
I estmate it'll be another year, maybe two before the 914 is even close to driving up and down my street with no glass and some kludged together neighbor-friendly exhaust.
