how you get the trunk lid to fender gaps is by moving the lip of the apron that the top of the fender bolts to in or out.
this is done by using a block of wood a BFH and hitting the top of the apron lip.
you set your hood right to left and get your gap to the cowl to the trunk lid.
then if you like the gap say at the front edge of the hood but it's to big or small for the rest pull the fender back off measure the distance from the edge of the hood to the top lip of the apron. then move the rest of the apron in or out to the same measurement. this should get you close.
I tend to make it just a bit tight from the gap that looks good. once the fender is back on I use the block of wood and a BFH and hit the edge of the fender to move it out to open the gap to what I want it to be.
BFH AKA big F****** hammer.
when I make the distance tighter it's only a MM or 2. to much hammering even with the wood and you can damage the edge of the fender. it's best to lay the wood across the fender bolts and not directly on the edge of the fender itself.
