I will share this…
When I replaced the heater assembly in my Tundra a couple years ago, the immobilizer is mounted to the heater module right against the fire wall.
If you do replace your heater module with a used one, BE ABSOLUTELY SURE that you use the original immobilizer module that came with your Prius…
Don’t ask how I know this.
The Tundra has a couple of cams that are sorta like a record and stylus and as the cam (record) turns, more than one of the stylus needles actuate various flaps. I suspect the Prius may be similar.
