A DNA story for you. Quite heart warming.

A work buddy Mary-Lynn, her mother had just died and she felt very alone in the world. No one even slightly close in her life. She said "The doorbell rang and she saw a very beautiful coloured woman with a big grin on her face." The woman was her child. Mary-Lynn had a brief fling with a Black American military guy while his ship was in port, and got knocked up. When she had the baby her mother told her it was still born, but had it adopted out.

Mary-Lynn said she went from having no one to having a beautiful daughter and lovely grandchildren. She also said if her mother hadn't just died she would have killed her herself.
