The No 9 coal mine in Jim Thorpe, Pa. is 1,600 ft down, then you walk about another 100 ft on foot.
Being that far down scarred the living Fuchs out of me.
The highlight of the tour/ride when he flipped a switch and all the lighting went black - absolutely terrifying.
