Curt, I was going to recommend Sony Vaio based on just my personal experience, but didn't think that it would fit the budget. That sounds like a smoking deal!
I can't believe how cheap these things are getting. Sony is the Porsche/BMW/etc. of PCs. (The Windows equiv. of Mac stuff).
