Well, so much for keeping detailed notes. I just realized I have identified four wires coming from the turn signal switch. Unfortunately there are 6 wires - I'll have to figure the other two out later.
That steel repro Speedster body is interesting. There are so many reproduced body parts available now that this just takes an existing trend to a new level. With all the repro stuff available now I think it may be time to unload some of my spare OG body parts while they still have some value.
The most valuable Speedsters are selling for $400k because they have all matching numbers. I expect some of the total rust bucket Speedsters, will be rebodied with these bodies, but they'll never have "Matching numbers" so they'll only affect the middle level market. I expect some coupes and cabs will have their serial numbers stamped on some of these bodies too. One day all 6000 of the original 4000 Speedsters will have been restored.
My car still has the original doors, engine lid, and transmission, but the hood and left front fender are not original, plus it has a 912 engine, so it I expect when it's time to sell it will be middle market. Just my luck.
