JUst a thought: Is it any less correct to say the Toureg is a de-tuned version of the Cayenne? I'll bet that's what most VW owners say, 'this is really a Porsche, with a few different parts ......'
Neither would exist without the other. VW didn't design it - VW
and Porsche designed it.
Driving differences aside, the Toureg I looked at was $50k. Some say that's a bargain because it's $15k less than the similar Cayenne. I said it was $15k MORE than I was willing to pay for any vehicle with a VW badge. I'm a VW fan and currently own 2 Jettas as company vehicles for employees, but I can't bring myself to go over the $35k threshold for a VW ......
