DTV did me the same after 12 years. I guess they don't take the threat of leaving seriously. Gotta be the percentages I guess. Anyway, I'd hook up a string to a tin can before going back to Spectrum.

We have the same attitude on this. I think we had similar phone calls; I was very polite asking for a price break. Two calls. They said, no way. I actually got a call from Spectrum today. I did not answer but they left a message saying they had just cut my bill in half.
