Probably the architect did some 3d visualisations of some houses. The developer didn't want to pay the architect to modify the visualisations so did it themselves or got somebody else to do it cheaper. But the original artist owns the copyright and controls who is entitled to modify their work, and charge a new license for any additional usage not already licensed. So they sued the developer. The award is excessive, in my view, on a prima facie basis.
