I have to take a break every hour or so. Getting up and down and crawling under the car gets to my joints.
On one of my breaks I looked up some old photos of the Speedster.
This might be the oldest photo I have of the car. I was on a lunch break during an autocross in the rain. (fun!) Must have been about 1974.
I drove the Speedster to a lot of 356 Registry events. This one was at the Indianapolis Speedway back in the Paleolithic era when I had brown hair.
During my stint as a rocket scientist I would drive my car down to the Air Force Museum flight line to look at any new planes that had come in. Sometimes I took pictures. I wasn't exactly illegal, but it was frowned upon, so I had to work fast.
I really had to work to get this one. I wanted the shadow of the plane's nose on the hood. The car was so far back under the plane that the end to the plane's nose spike was actually in front of the car.
