I am sure they see that. Mercedes did not start winning and they had Michael Schumacher helping them develop the car.
Ford dumped a ton of money to beat Ferrari at Le Mans, and did it a few times and took their trophies home and said goodby.
If GM (Cadillac) wants to spend a bunch of money F1 is one way to do it. They could get into building jet aircraft and spend the same amounts. HAAS has struggle at the back of the pack and they have Ferrari engines and help.
