Soon to be 34 years here.
My Mom raised us in the cacophony of the 60's married to an Army Major and we all knew the drill.
I still have the little reel-to-reel tapes my Dad sent us from Vietnam, just his voice on the recordings. What is clear listening to them is his love for my Mother and his gratitude and appreciation for: Her. He knew.
As you know, the military is hard on relationships. Those that endure are forged. My wife and I were married for less than two months when I deployed for a year in 1990/1.
I wish you both the best, Matt...38 years is a testimony to both of you.
