So this is kind of cool. As I’m setting the camshaft timing on this 911 engine I realize that these tools date back to Christmas of 1994. I was a sophomore in College and working on rebuilding my first engine ever in my 73 911. The car was originally a sportomatic T and had been converted to a 2.4 S engine with MFI and a 915 gearbox. All I had were basic hand tools and a Haynes repair manual. I saved up all summer and spent all my money on parts. I ran into a jam when I got to the camshafts and realized I needed $350 in special tools to go any further. Santa Delivered the goods and here I am 29 years later still using them almost to the day I got them.[emoji6][emoji6]
