Picked up an inexpensive (as if there is such a thing!) daily driver SC a few weeks ago and am slowly getting it back on the road. It is far from a pristine car so no harm in making it my own.
Priced "nice" seats and was blown away by current cost. There are 101 other things this car needs first.
Decided to build some "bomber" aluminum seats from various pictures I found online. Built to fit my 6'4" frame, they are super comfortable. Relatively low cost as it is just sheet aluminum and some filler rod.
Anyone do something similar? Looking for upholstery inspiration that doesn't look 1950's lake bed racer. Might paint them body color, or powdercoat black?
I welcome any photos, thoughts, opinions, or just being called an idiot. I kinda like the look but think something is missing and need help.
