I have been test driving the old 225/50’s that the wheels came with. They are dated 2009! Just around the neighborhood. There is a a bit of a torque bump.

But to be honest not enough for me to want to use that size again. I’ve never been in to the squat look for tires on vintage iron. Always hated resto-modded corvettes and Chevys with big wheels and low profile tires. Just doesn’t look right. Love that tall rubber!

Keep in mind I don’t track my car. It falls into the “occasional spirited drive” category.
