I always was a big music fan. When the kids were of the age that they were into music I usually had a tape of a group before they did. I would hear it on the car radio and go get it. When Punk came long that stopped dead.

Wasn't into Michael Jackson either but some MTV stuff was OK. Not OK enough to buy it though. I kept listening to music for many more years, first some country which I didn't have a baseline for. Then mixes of tapes I had.

Slowly I got tired of my playlists even though I got an iPod and downloaded a 100 songs. I thought this was great as I didn't have to listen to a whole CD that replaced the tapes.

What about this and AI? Well, that was a turning point in my life. My wife bought me tickets to a Pat Benatar concert in '94 and I walked out mid show. I was done with anything beyond that with a rare exception and I don't buy it. I might, might download it but it's been a few years.

Well computers turned that corner this year. Punk has arrived in the form of AI. AI is the Devil and it has ruined the use and enjoyment of a computer as entertainment. Like a typewriter was to an office, so is a computer now. That's where they started as word processors and that's where they will stay in my life.

Yeah, people have changed a lot. People changed with music. People changed with films. BTW, I have never watched an animated movie and I avoid CGI if I can help it. I guess I'm in the belief that if there is a stunt to be shot, the stunt should be done for real. So you know by now I've never seen a Star Wars movie, not one.

And although there was never a distinct date that I stopped turning on the car radio, it did come about easily within a year that it went silent. That time is now this time as I begin to leave online communities. I all looks and sounds like a bad Pat Benatar song to me. (She did do a couple good ones), but to have to sit through a concert is another thing altogether. Just like having to read today's drivel and not know if it's a bot or a person.

Fortunately Pelican has a first post hold until a mod approves. That isn't the case in most places. And the lemmings pile on all showing how knowledgeable they are to a non question. Quite funny actually, but not fun.
