I changed to Pandora. If they try to slip in a bad song, a quick thumbs down, and it is never played again.

My parents had stereo equipment and listened to music as far back as I can remember (turn table & reel-to-reel player in the early 70s). I had a stereo of some sort from the time I was 11 or 12, I think. When I was a little older, I bought lots of cassettes and CDs. I completely stopped listening to the radio, I think, around 2004-2005. Initially it was an iPod, but then I eventually switched to Pandora, which is great because I'm not still having to buy music, and have been introduces to lots of stuff that I may not otherwise have experienced. Occasionally I'll hear a song in a movie or show or Pandora will toss something odd at me and I'll go down the rabbit hole of a new genre.

I have long been a science fiction fan, so I enjoy the fantasy world of Star Trek and the Marvel universe. It is just pure escape and fun. So many movies can slip in CGI and you will not now.
AI is here, and real. Trying to ignore it is like ignoring old age. It is going to happen no matter what you want, resistance is futile. Yea, you can put up a good fight and feel better but the rest of the planet just marches on. I will continue to enjoy CGI movies.
As a car guy, you really should see the animated movie Cars. It is a great movie, with a good message, and Sally Carrera is Hot!

Yep, I can escape into books or movies and suspend disbelief readily. I assume I just connect back to my inner 12 yo.
In my teens I read comic books. Disney (old) and Pixar (new) animation and Japanese anime (especially from Studio Ghibli) are all very entertaining.
