there is an old dude retiring this month. I have somehow been selected to be on a special committee to ROAST HIM at his retirement party.

I know the guy well. met him 20 years ago. one thing I noticed he doesnt change. same likes, same dislikes. he tells the same damn stories. on repeat. and he keeps talking about the good old days.

I called him last week and asked him how thick his skin was. he said, "bring it". I am not bringing it. I honestly don't think he could handle it. he made his own retirement flyer. looking at it, you would think he is retiring from the NAVY, and not our engineering gig. hahahha.. roasting him gently is going to be super effen easy. I'll just string along a bunch of old people stereotypes.

I found him a vintage RUSH concert t-shirt and that is what I got him as a gift. he ONLY likes RUSH. dude has a love for anthemic rock ballads.

Me? no..I refuse to be the BLOCKBUSTER video of old people. I hate change, but I embrace the stuff and face it head on. I want people to enjoy being around me when I am an old effer. especially my wife and family. good attitude, and happy demeanor. we are responsible for the energy we put out there.
