1983 SC No power to starter solenoid
Guys have been going through this for hours now and I still cannot get power to starter solenoid through the ignition switch. Any suggestions appreciated!
Large Yellow wire has been tested from 14 pin connector at rear relay box and is good to solenoid
also jumped wire before connector in the harness and still good - so plug is OK
Thought it might be ignition switch so I (foolishly) removed switch and not just the connector- and tested pin 30 to pin 50 on ignition switch and all is good there too
Putting power to the female pin within the firewall plug for the switch and Nothing but a click on the fuel pump relay so power is getting there as well- although pump is at the moment jumped without the relay
I know the yellow wire shares power with a few other components but I cannot find where those junctions might be unless they are buried in the harness somewhere.
according to Bentley the yellow wire should leave the switch and go directly to the rear plug at the rear relay box. what am I missing?
