I recently bought a 55 year old car that has 2 vins on it. The car was a dragster at one point in its life so had many parts replaced over the years. There are 2 vin locations on these cars, the driver's door and a hidden vin under a fender.

I'm pretty sure the door was replaced at one point and registered with the VIN on the door because this is the only visible vin (without taking the fender off). I doubt anything nefarious is at play.

Just to be sure though, how can I search the other VIN to see if the car is stolen? I'm going to replace that drivers door again and it would be best to register the car with the hidden VIN.
