Thank you sir! It's such a fun car to play around with - and drive!

…And coming to a narrow-body coupe with nothing numbers matching ---> Upgraded Electronic Fuel Injection with drive-by-wire single throttle body! This is for (hopefully) installation in the first half of 2024.

I took advantage of Adapt Motorsports Black Friday sale and ordered what I hope are complementary products for a project that may be (currently is???) beyond my skill set. But that’s half the fun of it! I plan to do a lot, and have been doing so, reading up on EFI wiring, ECM’s, learning about different brands of connectors, and enjoying a new world of YouTube videos and tutorials. It seems like the Aussies have a huge presence in the hotrod aftermarket world of EFI tuning! And I have to admit - their accents make them more interesting to watch & listen to than us folks from the lower 48.

Here's what arrived in early Fall. 964/993 aluminum intake – complete system. Will sell off lots of stuff I will not be needing.

From Adapt Motorsports, we have a pair of their quite attractive fuel rails displayed on the hood of this late 60’s Fire Chief car with surface-mounted bell.

This is their ignition reference device with hall-effect sensors that will hopefully (and magically) read the crank and cam to tell the ECM what’s happening every 720 degrees of rotation for sequential ignition and injection. Their custom crank pulley has an attached ring gear, if you will, with the necessary missing tooth.

Had them include 6 direct-fit Bosch COP ignition coils.

Then the sweetest item in the box: The E-Throttle DBW 964/993 conversion kit. Bosch 74mm electronic throttle and the Bosch 1.15 bar T-Map sensor on CNC machined intake adapter. Also comes with the resonance tube with internal flap assembly using sealed roller bearings and a vacuum actuator.

While I was this deep in the rabbit hole, I also got their DBW pedal assembly with Hella pedal/ potentiometer.

And not shown – or not arrived as of yet: Adapt Motorsports adjustable fuel pressure regulator and 2-bolt adapter kit for installing the 964/993 intakes on the 3.0L cylinder heads.

I have a local air-cooled expert that will assist here in Raleigh. He also has experience with EFI set ups and has a nicely tuned 3.6 EFI ITB in his personal SC hot rod. So, I will be using the ECM that he prefers that will also perform all the tasks that I will require of it – and then some.

Keep you posted when this begins to take flight. It will involve my first engine drop, tidying up of the engine bay & existing wiring along with ceramic coating of certain exterior engine items - and installing some USA-made SSI’s with 2-in muffler. I’m excited about this (for me) dramatic next chapter!
