I've always considered the 912E to be the ideal candidate for a hotrod or backdate project. Its 1976 model year ensures full galvanization.

The presence of factory 6-cylinder mounts facilitates a remarkably straightforward conversion process. Additionally, the 912E distinguishes itself with the inclusion of 5 gauges, a feature absent in the earlier 912 models, while boasting virtually everything else found standard in a base 911.
