When I'm lifting my '86 911 Targa, I use a jack pad into the square receptacle under the door strike, jack stands under the front suspension blocks and jack stands under the rear torsion bar blocks.
My experience is the 911 chassis is sooo stiff that while I place four matched jack stands I can only ever get three to support weight.
If that also holds true on your vehicle, then you could work on one side, support the vehicle so the other side is dangling so it may then be serviced.
