Good plan, but they tend to go sideways. Let's say you try to fix the rust in the floor pan but while you're there, you see the A arm attachment point is also rusted out. That's not something you can push down the road. And the other side probably needs to be done.

You never planned to fix it, but now you have to. So with that apart, you might as well replace the battery box and the shocks and rebuild the brakes and get new hard and soft brake lines and new discs and and and.....

This is how these things go sideways. Just saying....
