You may be able to evade cops in some urban situations (get *just* far enough ahead to bail and run away) , but if you are just relying on flat our speed, you need to sustain a solid 160 mph+ for a long time. Add in the rate that they are burning fuel at +120 MPH it won't take long to run through that 1/4 tank.
