I have never seen a city wide power failure. No hurricanes here. Just drive a dozen miles or less to an area with electricity, and fill up. Even the meanest baddest 300+ MPH winds F5 tornado only hits a very small area, and just a few blocks away is civilization and gas stations, restaurants, and hospitals.
