Well, I'm comparing the braking to my other car, an inexpensive (but very capable and fun) 2019 Hyundai Veloster N. I do occasionally track that car, as I have tracked other cars I have owned. The Cayman S (in my opinion) is a great platform, but out of the box I'm not really too impressed by the brakes.

The Cayman S came (as do many cars) with drilled steel rotors, which are not engineered for hard repeated braking in track days. Each of those holes is a significant crack initiator - they are great for marketing (people love the looks), but not for track use. Plain or properly slotted rotors are better. The small size of the factory rotors aren't ideal for thermal management/heat dissipation or braking torque either - they aren't really designed for track usage, but they are fine for a street sports car. The Brembo calipers are fine, and I may go the Girodisc route but haven't decided yet.

Realistically the things I've already done to the brakes would be enough for my mild track driving. The braking feel I'm targeting is entirely preferential. I like the Hawk HP+ pads. I've used them before principally for the street and mild autocross or track days. The brake feel is also not an actual problem, I just want to see if there are other options. Some people hate more boost, some want more. It's pretty subjective.

But at any rate I'm hoping that somebody out there may have actual technical information about Porsche brake boost assist ratios that might fit my car.
