I read a couple articles where they said it was a plug, not an emergency, exit, like over a wing.

Remember a while back, when a window blew out, and the lady sitting next to it got sucked out. If I recall correctly, she pretty much got beat up along the outside of a plane from the waist up, due to the wind stream. What a terrible way to go
